☀️ Summer is here and so are our new opening hours
From 1 June to 30 September, the Medieval Mile Museum will move to summer opening hours, making it even easier to enjoy a day of history, discovery and family fun in the heart of Medieval Kilkenny.

Something exciting is taking shape in the heart of Medieval Kilkenny.

We recently visited the site of the future Museum of Medieval Kilkenny, opening in 2027, including the incredible historic Tholsel building and its Clock Tower, which will become part of this exciting new visitor experience.

From panoramic city views to hidden medieval stories, this new museum will bring visitors even closer to the people and places that shaped Kilkenny centuries ago.
This is just the beginning.

👋🏼Meet our newest tour guide and Chief Pest Control Officer, Sir Richard of the MMM 😀
Since joining the team, Sir Richard has taken his duties very seriously, conducting regular inspections, supervising staff and keeping a close eye on visitors.

He’s already made himself quite at home around the Medieval Mile Museum and appears to have developed a strong interest in Medieval Kilkenny history.

🕯️National Famine Commemoration Day.
