Curated by Vaari Claffey the show brings large-scale sculptural work
s by a group of Irish and international artists together with a VHS video programme, compiled to reflect the history of the factory at the site where magnetic video tape was manufactured from 1987-2005. Magnetism Artists include Lucy Andrews (UK), Mikala Dwyer (AUS), Igor Grubić (CRO), Siobhan Hapaska (UK), Aleksandra Mir (SWE,USA,UK), Laura Morrison (UK, FIN) and Garrett Phelan (IRL). The show also features a programme of VHS based artworks entitled REWIND FASTFORWARD selected with an international team of researcher/curators.
