Celebrating a Life of Love: Bridgie Conway's 90th Birthday Legacy*

Four years ago, the Conway family lost a matriarch, a guiding light, and a beacon of love and kindness. Mrs. Bridgie Conway of Liscanniane, Galway, may have left us too soon, but her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her.

To mark what would have been her 90th birthday, her family chose to honour her memory with a Coffee & Tea Day in support of Galway Hospice. And what a remarkable response it's been! Thanks to the generosity of friends, family, and the community, they've raised an astonishing €10,785.65for the hospice.

Bridgie's life was a testament to love, resilience, and community. This incredible total is a fitting tribute to her enduring impact. The warmth of a cuppa, shared with friends and strangers alike, is a reminder of the comfort and joy Bridgie brought to those around her. Her generosity was always there, and her support of Galway Hospice was also in memory of her late husband Jimmy, RIP.

As we raise our cups to toast Bridgie's life, we're reminded of her love for family, friends, and community. Her legacy will continue to inspire and nurture others through the incredible work of Galway Hospice.

The Conway family, especially Bridgie's four daughters Mairead, Frances, Valerie, and Maria, their spouses, grandchildren, and all who made this possible, would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the Coffee & Tea Day. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to them.

Here's to Bridgie – may her love and kindness inspire us all. 😊

Irish actress Jessie Buckley wins an Academy Award for actress in a leading role, for her portrayal of Agnes, a grief-stricken mother in Chloé Zhao’s film Hamnet!

Jessie wore a Chanel elegant red and pink satin gown, in a nod to a dress worn by Grace Kelly also at the Oscars in 1956

Adding to the classic glamour were Jessica's Chanel High Jewelry diamond necklace, ring, and earrings, all rendered in 18-karat white gold

Fellow nominees included Kate Hudson, Emma Stone, Rose Byrne, and Renate Reinsve.
