As the summer season approaches, we would like to let you all know that The Back of The Shop will not be opening this summer.

We have both moved on to new phases in our lives and are bringing our energies into new challenges.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over our 5 year run - we made great friendships and had a lot of fun.

Special thanks to all at the and the Fox family without whose unwavering support this little business could not have existed - and to Sarah and Rupert for their great vision and work done in getting the whole thing started.

This post refers to my weaving work that is currently in exhibition at the back of the shop.

I am a weaver, visual artist and poet and I have some of my recent work available available here. For those who don’t know, weaving is an ancient craft. It is one of the primary methods of textile production and it involves interlinking a set of vertical threads with a set of horizontal threads.

This exhibition shows a set of drawings and weavings produced in the years 2022 and 2023 in my studio in São Paulo, Brazil.

It is called

“ᴄʀᴏꜱꜱ ᴍᴇᴅɪᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴꜱ ᴏꜰ ᴀ ᴄᴏꜱᴍɪᴄ ᴀʀᴛɪꜱᴀɴ ᴀɴᴅ ᴀʟʟ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅᴇᴛᴀɪʟꜱ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴅɪꜱᴛᴜʀʙ”

The main expression in these pieces is the silent process, which permeates my relationship with life.

Here are a few thoughts on my work:
