Artist spotlight: Drora Dominey

Drora Dominey (b. 1950) lives and works in Tel Aviv. She studied at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, the Cheltenham School of Fine Art in England, and Saint Martin’s School of Art in London. In her sculptural practice, Dominey combines wood, metal, and architectural forms to create works that move between abstraction and personal narrative. Drawing from modernist and constructivist traditions, her sculptures explore structure, material, memory, and local cultural references, transforming familiar objects and forms into poetic spatial compositions.

Her current solo exhibition at the Benyamini Contemporary Ceramics Centre features works in ceramics and glazes, highlighting a direct and intuitive approach to the material.
