Senior Citizens’ Picnic to Tangmarg Strengthens Brotherhood and Camaraderie
Baramulla, May 11:
The Senior Citizens’ Industries Group organized a memorable picnic and get-together to the picturesque Tangmarg area, where members gathered to refresh old memories, strengthen bonds of friendship, and spend quality time together in a warm and cordial atmosphere.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior members, who described the programme as a successful and emotionally enriching experience. Participants exchanged memories of their professional and personal lives and engaged in meaningful discussions aimed at fostering unity and mutual understanding among the members.
During the gathering, the participants offered Zuhr prayers, which were led by Haji Abdul Majeed Sahib. Members expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting everyone good health and the opportunity to come together in a spirit of brotherhood and harmony.
The participants highly appreciated the efforts of Mr. Abdul Rashid Sheikh Sahib for his commendable role in organizing and conducting the programme successfully. The members also acknowledged the contribution of Mr. M.H. Bukhari Sahib and the core committee for taking note of certain minor shortcomings in arrangements, assuring that such matters would be addressed in future programmes.
Special appreciation was extended to Haji Ghulam Nabi Shah Sahib and Mr. Farooq Ahmad Khan Sahib for making excellent arrangements for lunch, tea, and other refreshments, which added greatly to the comfort and enjoyment of the participants.
The members also lauded the valuable services of Haji Ghulam Muhammad Hakeem Sahib for his continuous support and contribution towards organizing such tours and social gatherings over the years.
Speaking on the occasion, several members highlighted the importance of such get-togethers in reducing feelings of loneliness among senior citizens and promoting emotional well-being, mutual respect, and social interaction. It was unanimously decided that the group’s next tour will be organized in Kupwara, InshaAllah.
The gathering concluded with prayers for peace, good health, and prosperity for all members of the group and the people at large.
