Piram Island Piram is located at 21 35' North and 72 34 East. (Dist. Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India)
It is owned by Si Raol. These strips extend from mainland to the island.

Piram Island development is being promoted by a private limited company led by Sidhrajsinhji P. Affectionately known as “Banabhai” by his friends and admirers, Mr. Raol is an established real estate developer in the region. He is the direct descendant of the illustrious royal family of Bhavnagar which not only has a glorious historical past and tales of honour and chivalry but surpasses all in the

spirit of sacrifice by being the first one to surrender its state for a just cause in building the present independent India. In Sanskrit, Piram derived from Param means a very sacred and pure place. This island, having unparalleled beauty and natural wonders, lives up to this attribute and is a great historic document in its own right. Piram is a living testimony to the ancient upheavals of nature, changes in flora and fauna over million of years and centuries of tides and ebbs. All of this history is manifest in the layers of rock that make this island. Piram measuring about 1.6 km x 0.8 km is situated in the Gulf of Khambhat. It is an ancient island rich in history, marine and archaeological wonders and an exclusive place waiting to be developed for its variety of potentials. Piram have evidence of pre-historic periods evolving over millions of years and a recorded history of more than 5000 years. Authenticated by the Gazetteer Piram has a history of all faiths: Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Islam. It is an inhabited island showing the roots of four main religions of India. It reflects the coexistence and respect for one another --- true secularism. Another unique feature of this island is the fossils, which are scattered and still preserved intact all over in spite of archeological excavations in the past; many of them still are preserved in the museum including those of dinosaurs, giraffe, elephant, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, horse, ox, antelope, and several forms of crocodile, fresh water tortoise and fishes of gigantic size. Piram can rightly be called the "Jurassic Park" of India, where the Almighty has hidden his blueprint of the history in the form of fossils. Besides this, it is blessed with other forms of nature such as marine wild life, marine birds, fastest water currents, highest tide and ebb difference, pollution free environment, fertile land and amazing mountain strip appearing only at the time of ebb and disappearing during tide.

Piram is unique because there are very few islands off the Indian West Coast, which are so easily accessible. It is unique also due to the fact that it is privately owned and has a size, which is just right to savour the experience of sea all around.
