RMNH, Bhubaneswar, an Eastern Regional Centre of National Museum of Natural History, New Delhi under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Govt. We are a Natural History Museum intended to provide information about nature, evolution of life, environment, environment related issues and their prospective solutions. RMNH Bhubaneswar organised a two-day workshop on Museum Techniques: Curation and Preservation. Inaugurated by Dr. Arun Kumar Mishra ( Former RCCF )and Dr. Bharti Pal. ( Superintendent, Orissa state museum,Bhubaneswar).Programme included museum tours, pugmark casting, mould making, paper mache, and expert sessions on dry/wet preservation and museology norms.

The initiative strengthened skills in biodiversity documentation and curation.

The Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhubaneswar commemorated International Earth Day 2026 on campus with great enthusiasm.

As part of the celebrations, we organised a painting competition on the theme _“Our Power, Our Planet” witnessing spirited participation from 150 students.

Through vibrant colours and creative expressions, students portrayed the collective responsibility we share in nurturing and safeguarding our planet. The event reaffirmed our commitment to environmental awareness, sustainability, and biodiversity conservation.

It is believed that Saras Crane, state bird of UP only mate once in their lifetime. A Saras dies as it stops eating or drinking if its mate has died recently. In a couple of days dead body of bird is found nearby the carcus of the mate.
