Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam

Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam was started by Artist S. Venkatachalapathy (Achalam) in 1996 with just three students. We conduct art workshops and summer courses.

Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam imparts training in over 100 varieties of art & craft, such as Acrylic and Oil Painting, Watercolour painting, Stained Glass, Tanjore painting,etc. About ten thousand students have successfully finished their training under us. Now the institution has grown in status with fifteen branches in Chennai. More than three thousand students study in our institution. Apart fr

om school children, even adults from various walks of life are being trained here. We also offer painting courses through correspondence. The main motto of this institution is to develop art teachers and to train students in art such that it is useful in their future careers. We also organize one-day outdoor art camps, where students are taught on-the-spot painting. Children are sent to various competitions to expose their talent and many of our students have won prizes in exhibitions held in Chennai and other places.
