India Book of Records-An Introduction

India Book of Records, as the name suggests, is the custodian of Indian records since 2006. The book, holding the RNI number HARENG/2010/32259, has a dedicated staff of 45 members and a national network of 85 adjudicators. With the launch of the 15th edition of India Book of Records 2020 on 27 December 2019 at Hotel Radisson Blu, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi, it

has become arguably the only book of records with the Chief Editors from record books of seven nations (Vietnam, Malaysia, USA, Nepal, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Thailand) as its board members. To promote India Book of Record holders, the book has entered into a foreign collaboration to achieve the following:

Every year the Top 50 India Book of Record holders’ records are placed in the ‘World Records Museum’- Jakarta, Indonesia. There are only two world record museums in the world- the first one is in Indonesia and the second in London. The Top 10 India Book of Record holders are invited and honoured every year in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, by Vietnam Book of Records in the presence of more than 1000 international record holders and the top 50 international media. India Book of Records organises ‘Record Holders Exchange Programme’ every year, wherein India Book of Record holders get an opportunity to interact with the foreign record holders. This activity coincides with the launch of the new edition of India Book of Records. India Book of Records is one of the most widely circulated record books with worldwide availability through major online & offline book stores.
