🌍 Celebrating World Food Day: Cultivating Awareness and Responsibility🌱

We recently commemorated World Food Day with enlightening sessions in Karwar Educational District on October 24 and Sirsi Educational District on October 28, reaching about 300 participants. These events were a powerful reminder of the crucial role that food, sustainability, and shared responsibility play in shaping our future.

Our Curator, Rohan Bhujle, delivered a compelling 4-hour talk exploring the balance between humanity, nature, and nourishment. Topics like health, obesity, malnutrition, minimizing food wastage, also the significance of macronutrients and micronutrients were covered in depth. Beyond these, Rohan emphasized that a sustainable future can only be envisioned by breaking the anthropocentric view of the world—recognizing that humans and nature are interconnected, with a shared responsibility to protect and nurture our planet.

The enthusiasm of the students demonstrated their commitment to being change-makers, ready to build a world where sustainability is at the core. As part of the Subregional Science Centre, Karwar, we are proud to foster such understanding and inspire the next generation to champion a harmonious, sustainable future.
