The genesis of Terracotta Journey, an organization that nurtures and promotes the art of pottery/pottery-making, happened on 3rd February 2016 in the town of Vathar from Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. The organization does not only hold the making of clay jewellery, toys domestic use items, cutlery or creative Ganesh idols to its credit; but is also responsible for the production and sale of ho
me and commercial space decor items. The organization, however, is not limited to only production and sales; it takes multiple iniviatives to spread awarness and instill the art of pottery-making among folks in the best ways possible! All of these initiatives are undertaken under the able guidance and expertise of Mr. The key learnings from these workshops are about the history of Terracotta Art, its need and scope in the future and how to effectively make embellished items using simple trchniques the training and execution of making exbellished Ganesh idols, varied designs of clay Diyas for Divali, various types of animals and birds, clay jewellery, etc. Till date, there have been many such workshops conducted across schools and colleges in India, in social organizations and for potters' communities. TERRACOTTA JOURNEY proudly associates itself with many of India's social organizations and claims to accelerate the same in near future. Furthermore, free guidance is provided to the trainess enrolled with the organization. The trainess are simultaneously involved in the production and post production activities while getting trained in the organization's space; Everytime there is a happy customer for their products, it boosts the trainee's self-confidence by itself and he/she then makes up their mind towards this profession. These trainess may choose to work with our organization or may venture out to start something of their own, on their own. Similarly, the organization also assists the trainess in tapping the market possibilities outside the organization, on the successful completion of their crash course.
