Step into the Labyrinth of the Mind
“HEAD”, an online solo exhibition by Farzana Ahmed Urmi, invites you on a visceral journey through the human psyche. This collection transcends mere portraiture, evolving into a raw exploration of the invisible forces that shape our existence: emotion, memory, and identity.
Urmi’s work is characterized by a bold, expressive use of color and texture. From the haunting, monochromatic depths of her blue and black portraits to the fiery, agitated energy of her crimson-hued figures, each piece functions as a psychological map. In some works, facial features are obscured by aggressive, layered strokes—suggesting the complexity of thoughts that often remain unvoiced. In others, a single, piercing eye stares back, demanding a direct confrontation with the viewer's own perception.
By deconstructing the traditional "head," Urmi captures the convergence of the internal and external. These are not just faces; they are inner landscapes rendered in paint, offering a powerful reflection on what it means to be an individual in a world of shifting perceptions Step into a world of emotion, color, and identity with “HEAD”, an online solo exhibition by Farzana Ahmed Urmi.
Through expressive portraits and layered textures, the artist explores the inner landscapes of the human mind—where thoughts, memories, and emotions converge. Each work becomes a powerful reflection of individuality and perception.
