National Workshop on Archives & Digital Archives
A National Workshop on “Archives and Digital Archives – Conservation, Preservation and Digitization” was organized on 23 and 24 September 2026 by the Department of History and IQAC, Nagaon University, in collaboration with the Heritage Foundation, Maharashtra.

The students received hands-on training from Bhujang Bobade, Director, Heritage Foundation, Maharashtra, and Sujit Das, Director, Art Village, Nagaon, Assam, who served as Resource Persons for the workshop. The training covered manuscript conservation, documentation and digitization, including a practical exercise in which students digitized a Kirtan manuscript.
It was an important academic initiative connecting heritage conservation with modern digital technology.
