Based in Delhi, Anica Mannโ€™s practice bridges archaeology and contemporary art. She has worked with institutions such as Vadehra Art Gallery and DAG, and previously curated the Young Collectors Programme at India Art Fair, where she developed new frameworks for engaging emerging patrons.

Her ongoing project Delhi Houses, published as a weekly column in Hindustan Times, documents modernism through the lens of domestic vernacular architecture.

She will lead a walkthrough of the exhibition, offering insights into the practices of Shalina Vichitra, Pooja Iranna, Raj Jariwala, Samit Das, and Mahen Perera and excavating the idea of what a home is.

Houses I Almost Lived In reflects on the hypothesis that homes are not only spaces we occupy, but ones that remain within us. In a time when belonging feels increasingly fluid, architecture becomes less about structure and more about memory, proximity and the lives we almost stepped into.

Through varied materials and forms, Shalina Vichitra, Pooja Iranna, Raj Jariwala, Samit Das, and Mahen Perera explore how spaces linger; shaping identity and emotional landscapes long after weโ€™ve left them behind.

Celebrating 105 years of Somnath H**e with a look at some of his distinguished works presented by Latitude 28.

Image 1: Untitled (Red Litho), 1969; Lithograph; 22x15 inch
Image 2: Untitled, 1982, Watercolor and Conte on Paper; 10.2 X 14.5 inches
Image 3: Untitled, 1972, Ink and Brush on Paper; 7.1 x 7.2 inches
Image 4: Dogs, 1976, Ink and Brush on Paper; 9.4 x 12.3 inches
Image 5: Untitled, 1975, Brush and Ink on Paper; 5.3 x 8.3 inches

A practice defined by restraint yet deeply profound in its impact; H**eโ€™s work redefined how form can hold history. Shaped by moments such as the Bengal Famine of 1943 and the Tebhaga Movement, he developed a visual language that was at once minimal and deeply human.

From his early sketches in Janayuddha and Peopleโ€™s War to his iconic woodcuts, H**e brought attention to lives often left unseen; distilling them into powerful, enduring forms. His bold linearity, textured surfaces, and punctured planes became central to his practice.

On his 105th birth anniversary, we celebrate a legacy that continues to influence how we see, make and remember.

Experience Neha Sahaiโ€™s practice as an intimate studio encounter.

Here, her world unfolds in moments of nearness that never fully resolve. The studio holds the rhythms through which her figures are returned to, adjusted, and allowed to persist. Its inclusion brings us closer to the conditions under which these presences take form.

Across her paintings, figures exist alongside each other, within reach, yet never entirely accessible. Meaning arrives gradually, it lingers slowly, without reaching conclusion.

โ€œThe Friend That I Never Hadโ€ reflects on this space of unfinished connection, where presence is felt, but never fully secured.

We invite you to take a closer look into Neha Sahaiโ€™s world.

Step into a space where the image lingers beyond itself.

EDGE by LATITUDE 28 invites you into โ€œThe Friend I Never Hadโ€ by Neha Sahai, an intimate studio experience where the act of making becomes as present as the work itself. The canvas is not a boundary but a threshold; what unfolds is a world shaped by return, memory, and quiet continuities.

Within Nehaโ€™s practice, figures emerge not as fixed forms but as emotional residues held, revisited, and reimagined. They inhabit a space between presence and absence, where companionship resists definition and instead settles into feeling. The studio becomes an extension of this language, revealing how these presences are lived with, not just created.
In a moment saturated with spectacle, this is an invitation to slow down to witness not just what is seen, but what stays.

Step into Nehaโ€™s world where presence is felt, but never fully resolved.

Edge by Latitude28 brings you an intimate studio experience, โ€œThe Friend I Never Hadโ€ by Neha Sahai; where artworks are not isolated objects, but part of a lived environment of making. This experience allows us to encounter not only the paintings, but enter the space in which they are held, revisited, and quietly lived with.

In Neha Sahaiโ€™s practice, companionship takes shape in ways that cannot always be contained within the structures of everyday life. Her figures move through these works as emotional presences, carrying projection, attachment and substitute intimacy. Here, her paintings become a process of language making which attempt to understand the conditions under which these presences take form.

โ€œThis project brings us closer to her practice in an intimate way. The inclusion of her studio allows us to understand not just the images, but the space in which they are held, revisited, and lived with. In a moment of constant visual noise, Nehaโ€™s work creates a space for attention, for pause, and for a quieter form of engagement,โ€ says Bhavna Kakar.

EDGE by LATITUDE 28 presents A Friend That I Never Had, a studio experience by Neha Sahai that extends beyond the canvas into something more intimate.

This is not only a viewing, but an encounter with the artistโ€™s studio itself. Objects, references, and traces of process remain present, drawing you into the rhythms through which these works take shape. What emerges is a space where making is not hidden, but held in quiet continuity with the finished work.

Sahaiโ€™s figures inhabit shifting proximities, gathering, dispersing, and returning. They gesture toward forms of connection that resist closure, where intimacy is felt but never fully resolved. The exhibition unfolds as a field of relations in flux, inviting you to sit with what lingers between presence and distance.

We invite you to step into this first-of-its-kind studio experience.
