Sometimes Vastu is not about expensive renovations or dramatic structural changes.

Sometimes small shifts in a can quietly influence how you feel, think, rest, and function every single day.

A few simple Vastu-inspired practices people often overlook:

• Allow more natural light into the house — dark spaces tend to affect mood and energy.
• Keep the center of the home open and clutter-free — traditional systems considered this the energy core of a space.
• Introduce plants to improve freshness and visual calm.
• Use natural materials like wood, stone, brass, clay, or cotton wherever possible.
• Ensure proper airflow and ventilation — stagnant air often creates stagnant environments psychologically too.
• Add a small water element or calming sound near common areas to create balance and relaxation.
• Avoid excessive broken, unused, or emotionally heavy objects collecting in corners.
• Use warm lighting in the evenings instead of harsh white light to create emotional softness.
• Keep spaces intentionally organized — clutter silently increases stress and mental fatigue.

Who is Vastu Purush?

Most people think Vastu is about , placement, or superstition.
But very few pause to ask:

Who is the “Vastu Purush” itself?

In , Vastu Purush is not merely a figure.
He symbolizes the being believed to reside within every space — the consciousness of a structure itself.

Ancient texts describe him lying across the earth with different directions associated with different energies, , emotions, and of life.

Which is why traditional paid deep attention to:
• Light
• Airflow
• Orientation
• Balance of elements
• Spatial harmony
• Movement within spaces

Because a home was never seen as just walls and ceilings.
It was seen as a living environment capable of influencing the human mind, body, and spirit.

Interestingly, modern research now increasingly shows that environments affect:

The Craft Start-Up Workshop at Craft Village on 25th April was more than just a session—it became a space for honest conversations, grounded realities, and meaningful perspectives from the experience.

The workshop brought together participants from diverse backgrounds, all united by a common intent—to understand how to build within the craft ecosystem. What emerged was not just learning, but a deeper awareness of the opportunities, challenges, and structural gaps that define this sector.

From decoding the real market dynamics to understanding the importance of value chains over supply chains, from discussing innovation beyond products to recognising the role of artisans as knowledge holders, the session attempted to bridge the gap between aspiration and ex*****on.

One of the most important takeaways was this—
Craft is not just a business sector, it is a social sector. It is about indigenous creativity, clarity in terms of practicing communities, systems and processes, positioning, and long-term thinking.

The engagement, questions, and reflections from participants made it clear that there is a growing interest in building meaningful ventures in this space—but equally, a need for right guidance, mentorship, and ecosystem support.

At Craft Village, this is exactly what we aim to enable—
Not just ideas, but informed action, and we focus to build ecosystem.
