P420 ARTE CONTEMPORANEA E LIBRI ha inaugurato lo scorso 23 gennaio 2010 il proprio spazio a Bologna in Piazza dei Martiri 5/2, adiacente al MAMBO e nei pressi del centro storico e dalla stazione di Bologna. P420 nasce con il preciso intento di presentare e trattare l'opera di artisti appartenenti alle principali avanguardie nate, in Italia e all'estero, tra gli anni ‘50 e gli anni ‘80, con particolare attenzione ai decenni '60 e '70, così incredibilmente ricchi e prolifici di nuove idee e di nuove espressioni artistiche. E' in quest'ottica che la proposta di P420 propone parte dalla corrente Informale degli anni Cinquanta per arrivare alle più recenti esperienze degli anni ‘70, attraverso la destrutturazione di Zero e Nul, le innovazioni artistiche e culturali introdotte dall'Arte Concettuale, Processuale, dalla Land Art, Minimal, Narrative, Performance, Arte ottica-cinetica e Programmata, Arte Povera, Fluxus e manifestazioni multimediali, Poesia Visiva e Concreta, Nuova Pittura, ecc. P420 dedica inoltre la massima attenzione alla ricerca nel settore della documentazione, intendendo arricchire le conoscenze del collezionista mediante una notevole proposta di documenti originali quali cataloghi e monografie degli artisti e delle correnti artistiche trattate. Il supporto documentale non sarà mai considerato secondario all'opera e sarà invece sempre presente nelle mostre e negli allestimenti come parte integrante di un progetto di presentazione dell'Arte Contemporanea al pubblico che integri gli schemi dell'attività commerciale con le esigenze collezionistiche e gli aspetti più prettamente culturali e poetici della ricerca artistica.

: June Crespo and Rodrigo Hernández at Contour Biennale 11, Mechelen, Belgium

P420 is delighted to highlight the participation of June Crespo (Pamplona, ES, 1982) and Rodrigo Hernández (Mexico City, MX, 1983) in Contour Biennale 11, curated by Sofia Lemos.

June Crespo’s sculptural practice sits at the threshold between the industrial and the organic, charging everyday materials with emotional intensity. Through moulding, casting, fragmentation, and assemblage, Crespo creates forms that oscillate between abstraction and figuration, density and porosity, revealing the slow accumulation of time.

Rodrigo Hernández works across drawing, painting, relief, sculpture, and installation, with a practice shaped by poetry, philosophy, literature, and dreams. Drawing on a wide constellation of references, including Pre-Columbian art, Japanese printmaking, European modernism, mythology, and scientific imagery, Hernández constructs visual languages in which intimacy, symbolism, and memory intersect.

Book launch of the volume dedicated to Panorama at Art Basel Paris

On Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Le Grand Palais in Paris, Panorama presents the volume documenting its first five editions, published by Allemandi, in collaboration with Art Basel.

Panorama is the cultural project by ITALICS that celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. Each edition has taken place in a different Italian location: Procida (2021), Monopoli (2022), L’Aquila (2023), Monferrato (2024) and Pozzuoli (2025).

: ‘FOOD. Il gusto nell’arte’, a group exhibition at DART – del Bramante - Roma, curated by Suzanne Landau, featuring works by Alessandra Spranzi and Goran Trbuljak.

The artistic research of Alessandra Spranzi is connected with photography, with photographic staging, the reuse of images of her own or taken by others, collage and “photographs of photographs.” Her work reveals a taste for humble materials, everyday situations, domestic settings, neglected and obsolete objects, handiwork and its gestures.

Zagreb-based artist Goran Trbuljak has been active since the late 1960s in the context of conceptual art and the so-called New Art Practice. While searching from the very beginning for alternative means of production and representation of the artwork, Trbuljak has redefined the status of artistic context, asking radical questions about the autonomy of the system of museums and galleries and about the mechanism by which something is accepted as art.

The exhibition explores food as a creative medium, an element of transformation, and a tool for relationships: a universe of shapes, colors, rituals, and meanings where art, history, design, and modernity meet.

: ‘Maison-Main, une assemblée des gestes #2’, a group exhibition at CRAC (Centre Régional d'Art Contemporain Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée), curated by Christian Rizzo and Anne-Laure Lestage, featuring Rodrigo Hernández’s work.

Rodrigo Hernández has developed a poetics in which elements from literature, art history and observation of the world converge in a new continuously evolving vocabulary, spoken from the surface of things.

As if left alone to gaze at each other, figurative and abstract motifs unite and dialogue with each other, generating works that remind us of the unknown, yet present themselves to us with a warm familiarity. The result, poetic and somehow ironic, looks like the coming together of a universe intended to seek balance between physics and metaphysics, figuration and abstraction.

The exhibition explores gesture, material, and the removal of boundaries between craft and the visual arts, assembling works that take different approaches: raw or ornamental, poetic or politically engaged, flirting with the sacred or the domestic.
