Her artistic research was deeply centered on the theme of breast cancer—a subject that became personal after her own diagnosis, which led her to undergo a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. These treatments, along with the inevitable physical and emotional transformations, became integral to her photographic projects. During that period, she favored black and white film to best express her growing awareness of the most significant moments of her reality at the time.

La sua ricerca artistica si è concentrata profondamente sul tema del cancro al seno — un argomento diventato personale dopo la sua diagnosi, che l’ha portata a sottoporsi a mastectomia, chemioterapia e radioterapia. Questi trattamenti, insieme alle inevitabili trasformazioni fisiche ed emotive, sono diventati parte integrante dei suoi progetti fotografici. In quel periodo prediligeva la pellicola in bianco e nero per esprimere al meglio la crescente consapevolezza dei momenti più significativi della sua realtà di allora.
