We are glad to share that is part of “Seeds. Reclaiming Roots, Sowing Futures”, on view at within the Klima Biennale Wien 2026, curated by
Seeds are at the origin of life: they sustain us, carry knowledge across generations, and hold within them both memory and possibility. The exhibition takes this as a starting point to reflect on our relationship with the earth and with one another. Through sculpture, installation, photography, and video, the participating artists approach the seed as a point where ecological, cultural, and political questions meet.
Coming from different geographical and cultural contexts, the works address themes such as migration and colonial histories, indigenous knowledge, biodiversity, agriculture and food sovereignty, but also resistance, cooperation, and the imagination of regenerative futures. What emerges is a layered narrative where loss and preservation, fragility and resilience, are held together.
Within this framework, Pizzani’s work continues her research into organic forms and processes of transformation, tracing connections between the human body, plant life, and myth. Her practice unfolds here as part of a broader reflection on interdependence and the conditions that allow life to persist and renew itself.
The exhibition brings together works by Ackroyd & Harvey, Maria Thereza Alves, Alexandra Baumgartner, Tue Greenfort, Kapwani Kiwanga, Dominique Koch, Jumana Manna, Christian Kosmas Mayer, Marzia Migliora, Lucia Pizzani, Michaela Putz, Cecilia Vicuña, and Munem Wasif.
