Galleria Rossella Colombari

Galleria Rossella Colombari For over 35 years Galleria Colombari sustains twentieth century furniture and lighting concentraitin Ms.

Galleria Rossella Colombari in Milan is one of the most prestigious international Design galleries. For over 35 years of experience, Rossella Colombari (who comes from a dynasty of antique dealers in Turin), has promoted the importance of Italian twentieth century design. Her experience and technical capabilities, stemming from her formation in the realm of antiques and thanks to her family enviro

nment which granted her the opportunity to grow up in close contact with the most important international antique dealers, are now applied in the role of Technical Legal Expert for the Court of Milan and as member of CNE Paris. During the first years of her career, together with her sister Paola, Rossella researched and promoted the work of the architect Carlo Mollino, then unknown. The organization of exhibitions and auctions curated by the Gallery greatly contributed to the rise of Carlo Mollino as the second designer with the highest international auction records (a\er Eileen Gray). In 2005, Rossella Colombari published the book “Carlo Mollino: Catalogo dei Mobili”, an exhaustive technical biography of the architect and his ouevre. For over 35 years Galleria Colombari sustains twentieth century Italian design, concentrating on masterpieces by artists such as: Giò Ponti, Osvaldo Borsani, Ico Parisi, Franco Albini, Fontana Arte, Joe Colombo, Ettore Sottsass and Alessandro Mendini. The Gallery participates in the most important interna:onal fairs, beginning with the Biennale of Montecarlo (1983) up to Salon NY, Design Basel, Design Miami, PAD Paris, and PAD London. Each stand is conceived as a cultural mediation, intended not only to present pieces of the highest quality to collectors and the public but also to present a true re-contextualization of the art object: the reaffirmation of historical objects within a contemporary context. Galleria Colombari is an integral part of international circuits and collaborates with many international Museums, such as the Victoria & Albert Museum which acquired pieces by Carlo Mollino from the Gallery and the Musèe d’Orsay which acquired pieces by Carlo Bugatti. Colombari will publish a second book in 2016 entitled “Masterpieces of Italian Design”, edited by Idea Books: a reconstruction of Italian Twentieth Century Design to aid collectors in the navigation of the complex world of the design market.

GRC’s new installation: Moondance
A quiet orbit of form, light, and movement

There are objects that simply occupy a space, and others that seem to move within it. Moondance is about this subtle choreography a balance between structure and rhythm, weight and suspension.
We would be delighted to welcome you to discover it in the Gallery.

The low table Re Quadro by Paolo Piva, the sofa Minoletta by Augusto Bozzi for Saporiti, and Sarah Moon’s Anonymeestablish a refined dialogue between design and photography across decades.

This composition is further elevated by Angelo Lelli’s floor lamp (c. 1954), produced by Arredoluce, in painted brass, white opal glass, and marble. Its sculptural presence introduces a precise yet atmospheric light source, reinforcing the balance between function and poetic expression.

FOCOLARE DOMESTICO
Fireplace “Arenzano” designed by for GRC, April 2026

“Arenzano” is a unique fireplace designed by Eligo Studio for Galleria Rossella Colombari, first unveiled in Milan in April 2025 during Milano Art Week and Design Week.

Part of an ongoing collection, it reflects over a decade of research by Eligo Studio (founded by and ) along the Ligurian coast, exploring the dialogue between modern architecture and local heritage.

Reinterpreting the traditional hearth, its soft, airy form evokes sails and seagull wings, while subtly referencing Italian design masters of the 1950s and 60s. Three circular bio-ethanol burners redefine fire with a refined, sustainable, and contemporary elegance.

Arenzano embodies Eligo’s “couture” approach to design, where tradition, place, and innovation merge into a singular, timeless piece.

MDW is OVER!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us during Art Week and Design Week 2026 and for the opening evening of FOCOLARE DOMESTICO.

Together with we explored a dialogue between important historical design and contemporary vision, all centered around the timeless theme of the fireplace. From the newly conceived Arenzano fireplace by Eligo Studio to the extraordinary one-off Flammandes Herz (1988) by Ingo Maurer, the week was filled with warmth, exchange, and inspiring conversations.

The exhibition is still on view. We look forward to welcoming you❤️‍🔥

LEZIONI D’ABISSO BY TOMMASO OTTOMANO
FILM SCREENING | from April 20 to April 24, 2026
11 am – 7 pm (last entry at 6:30 pm)

LEZIONI D’ABISSO is a short film exploring the Freudian concept of the uncanny as a space of attraction and mystery, where fear becomes surprisingly familiar.
Directed by Tommaso Ottomano with artistic direction by Beatrice Papa, produced by Kitten Production, and shot at Casa Museo Molinario Colombari, the film features music from the iconic CamSugar catalog. Costume design by Sara Costantini and cinematography by Marco Depa enhance its striking visual identity.
The film brings the to life, transforming the house into a fluid, living organism, full of memory, soul, and desire.
becomes a metaphor for the unconscious, a time capsule of inner chaos, dreams, and secret impulses. Through evocative imagery, the female figure embodies this inner world as the origin and vessel of all emotions, both luminous and dark.
Visually, the film blends Fellini-inspired dreamlike surrealism with a Lynchian touch of mystery, framed in a sculptural, fashion-photography aesthetic.

Galleria Rossella Colombari
via Maroncelli 10, 20154 Milano

For Milan Design Week 2026, Galleria Rossella Colombari, located at via Maroncelli 10 in the Maroncelli District in Milan, presents a special project conceived specifically for the occasion, in collaboration with Eligo Studio.
Curated by Rossella Colombari, the exhibition unfolds as a dialogue between historical and contemporary works within a domestic setting, exploring the art of living.
The new project by the Milan-based studio, founded by Alberto Nespoli and Domenico Rocca, stems from the intention to evolve the traditional concept of the domestic hearth, reinterpreting it within contemporary bourgeois interiors. It is a tribute to the research and practice that Eligo Studio has been conducting for over a decade along the Ligurian coast, investigating the relationship between modern architecture and the memory of place.
Drawing inspiration from the great Italian masters of interior design and architecture of the 1950s and 1960s, the exhibition project renews their language with sensitivity and awareness.
