La Cooper T51 segna una svolta decisiva nella storia della Formula 1.
Con Jack Brabham conquista i titoli mondiali del 1959 e del 1960, imponendo definitivamente la configurazione a motore centrale-posteriore destinata a cambiare per sempre l’architettura delle monoposto. È anche la vettura con cui Stirling Moss trionfa al Gran Premio d’Italia di Monza nel 1959.
In esposizione insieme ad altre 22 monoposto iconiche nella mostra 𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘪 𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘬𝘦. 𝘌𝘯𝘻𝘰 𝘍𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘪 𝘦 𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘪, la Cooper T51 racconta il momento in cui i team britannici iniziano a mettere in discussione il predominio tecnico e progettuale di Enzo Ferrari, aprendo una nuova era della Formula 1 fatta di leggerezza, innovazione e rivoluzione tecnica.

The Cooper T51 marked a turning point in Formula 1 history.
Driven by Jack Brabham, it won the 1959 and 1960 World Championships, establishing the rear mid-engine layout that would soon become the standard for every Formula 1 car. It was also the car with which Stirling Moss won the 1959 Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
On display in 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘯𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘬𝘦, the Cooper T51 represents the moment British teams began to challenge the technical and cultural dominance of Enzo Ferrari, ushering in a new era of lightweight engineering and radical innovation in Formula 1.
