As the end of the summer gallery season is upon us, with the shorter days and the cooler autumn weather, I find myself drawn to the brightness of this Tuscany scene with the delicate blue wildflowers in the foreground. It was painted by Paolo back in June, near Siena, in the full heat of summer. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! Warmly, Melita

Paolo's recent exhibition in Canzo included many paintings from a variety of painting trips of the past 10 years. This one is my current favorite in our Varenna gallery (that survived unsold). It is a view of the Temple Hera (for the Greeks) or Juno (for the Romans) in the "Valle dei Templi" in Agrigento, Sicily. I could stare at it all day. I just love it. Hope you will, too!
