🎨 Volevo condividere con voi un dettaglio tratto dalla mia interpretazione della Medusa di Caravaggio.

💎 Il pezzo è stato realizzato attraverso la tecnica del "Graffito", di origine romana, che consiste nel l'incisione della foglia d'oro 24 carati tramite ago.

🎨 Just wanted to share with you a close-up detail of my interpretation of Caravaggio's Medusa.

💎 The piece is made using an Ancient Roman technique called "Graffito", witch consists in scratching the 24 carats gold leaf, applied on Murano Glass, with a needle.

🏺Sono felice di mostrarvi il mio ultimo lavoro, un vaso in vetro di Murano che ho decorato prendendo ispirazione da "Don Chisciotte alla sua prima uscita" di G. Doré.

🏆 Puoi trovare questo "Trionfo", il primo che abbia mai realizzato, esposto presso la Vetreria Mazzega a Murano.

🎨 La tecnica che ho utilizzato si chiama "Graffito", una tecnica dell'Antica Roma che la mia famiglia ha tramandato nei secoli di generazione in generazione. Consiste nel graffiare con un ago la foglia d'oro 24 carati applicata sul vetro.

🏺I'm glad to show you my last work, a true Murano Glass vase that I've decorated taking inspiration from "Don Quixote on his first sally forth" by G. Doré.

🏆 You can find this "Trionfo", the first I ever made, exposed at Mazzega Glass Factory in Murano.

🎨 The technique I used is called "Graffito", an Ancient Roman technique that my family has passed down through centuries from generation to generation. It consists of scratching the 24 carats gold leaf applied on the glass with a needle.

🎨 "My Interpretation of Caravaggio's Medusa: A Gold and Glass Engraving" 🐍

✍️ Check out my latest creation: a unique engraving on gold and glass inspired by Caravaggio's Medusa.

🖌️ The piece captures her captivating gaze with eyeless pupils, symbolizing her transformation into a glass figure.

🌟 The frame surrounding this artwork showcases intricate Greek motifs, paying homage to Medusa's origins in the myth of Perseus, her depiction on ancient shields and armor, and Caravaggio's renowned portrayal on a shield.

🪼 This is an intermediate stage of the whole work: the meticulous engraving process, that preceeds the painting fase. So, stay tuned for updates!
