YOUR PERSPECTIVE, YOUR EXPERIENCE.
AAVF 2026 THROUGH YOUR EYES.

Did you photograph the African Art in Venice Forum 2026?

Some of the most meaningful images are often the ones taken by the people who experienced the conversations with us. The unexpected angles, fleeting moments, encounters, and details we may have missed.

If you captured photos or videos during this year’s Forum, we’d love to see them.

Please send your files in the highest resolution possible via WeTransfer (or any file-sharing platform), together with the credit name you’d like us to use.

Selected images may be featured across our social media, website, and future promotional materials, always with full credit.

Help us tell the story of this edition through the many perspectives that made it possible.

“Moving beyond visibility means stopping treating it as an endpoint.

[…]

‘Beyond Visibility’ is a method: it means questioning who constructs narratives, with which tools, according to which temporalities, and for which audiences.

[…]

The Forum does not replace the pavilions. It exists as a lateral but necessary space that moves across their logics.
What the Forum offers is a relational infrastructure: it brings into dialogue voices that would otherwise remain fragmented.

[…]

The Forum exists to give time to ideas: to articulate contexts, connect practices, and address contradictions without simplifying them.
It is a space where discourse is not secondary to the artwork, but an integral part of its public existence.

[…]

The most interesting change is perhaps the least visible: it concerns the quality of conversations.

[…]

If I were to imagine a goal, it would be to make the Forum a kind of ‘home’ for those who need slow time and an intimate register for reflection.”

— from Neri Torcello's conversation with Collezione da Tiffany.

North Africa at the Center: Rethinking Cultural Geographies

What does it mean to approach North Africa as a center rather than a margin?

This conversation examines artistic practices shaped by multiple cultural and geographic affiliations, highlighting locally driven perspectives that engage global contexts without collapsing their complexity.

Africa In Minor Keys – Conditions of Visibility

How is visibility shaped—and by whom?

Set within the context of the Venice Biennale main exhibition and national pavilions, this opening conversation explores not only who is seen but also how narratives are constructed, histories written, and meanings framed. It asks how visibility can create new possibilities while also reinforcing existing structures.
