How to “Read” an artwork by Tobia Ravà?

To appreciate Ravà's work, look twice: first at the image, then at the numbers that bring it to life.

Every element is built from digits. See how sails, arches, and reflections are formed by complex number patterns.

Each number holds significance: 18 for Chai (Life), 26 for the ineffable Name of God, 15 for Yah (Divine Splendor), and 32, the artist’s mark.

The sum of numbers reveals a profound message — an invitation to discover the underlying order.

Tobia Ravà merges art, mathematics and Kabbalistic philisophy.
Inspired by his mentor Umberto Eco, Ravà’s unique style combines semiotics and gematria. He uses numbers to unveil nature’s secrets and spirituality. His art features intricate calculations and prime numbers that showcasing forests, architectures and faces.
