【 】TOKAS Project Vol. 9「在ることの再演」開催中！

TOKASとソウルの提携機関との交流20周年を記念し、日韓の注目すべきアーティスト5名を紹介する展覧会。それぞれが異なる視点から観察した生の姿を、展示空間に再び立ち上げる行為（＝再演）をとおして、現代における生の本質を見つめ直すことを試みます。演劇的インスタレーションから、彫刻、版画、映像作品、パフォーマンスなど、多元的な手法や視点から芸術的実践の可能性を提示します。また会期中、韓国の現代アートシーンをテーマとしたスペシャル・トークやパフォーマンスも開催します。展示と併せてお楽しみください。

【 】TOKAS Project Vol. 9 “Reenactment of Being” is showing now!

An exhibition showcasing five notable artists from Japan and South Korea in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the partnership between TOKAS and its partner institutions in Seoul.
Through acts of reenactment that give renewed form in the exhibition space to aspects of life observed by the artists from their differing perspectives, this exhibition invites fresh interpretations grounded in the artists’ sensations and viewpoints in the moment of experience, while shedding new light on what it means to be alive today. From theatrical installation to sculpture, video art, prints and performance art, the exhibition explores the possibilities of artistic practice through a diverse range of techniques and perspectives. During the exhibition period, a special talk about the contemporary art scene in South Korea and performances will be held. Please enjoy these alongside the exhibition.

【 】TOKAS Project Vol. 9「在ることの再演」
10/10(土)に三野新によるアーティスト・トークを行いました。

トークでは、ソウル滞在時にリサーチしたテーマと今回の作品のつながりについて制作背景を話しました。また、演劇的手法によってインスタレーションとして上演する《温室／온실》の構想と、展示空間に立ち上げている舞台の構造について語りました。

【 】2026年度二都市間交流事業プログラム＜ #ベルリン＞派遣クリエーター #すずえり (鈴木英倫子)が、Callie’sでの滞在を開始！市民ラジオと国民ラジオの側面から、ベルリンにおけるオルタナティブな通信のあり方について調査を行います。

【 】suzueri (Suzuki Elico) started her residency at Callie’s under Tokyo-Berlin Exchange Residency Program. She investigates alternative forms of communication within Berlin’s contexts through the citizen radio and the “People's Receiver.”

【 】ク・ドンヒ｜TOKAS Project Vol. 9「在ることの再演」

クは、日常の何気ない出来事や、テレビ、インターネット、都市生活といった身の回りの断片的な要素を素材に、それらをサンプリングしながら作品を構成し、その中に不条理で奇妙な事象を介在させることで、私たちの知覚を揺さぶり、当たり前の中に潜む違和感を浮かび上がらせます。本展では、超情報化社会に従属する現代の私たちの意識や感覚を探る映像作品をとおして、社会的な日常生活の中で形成された私たちの身体的な習性や固定化された規範を攪拌します。

【 】 KOO Donghee | TOKAS Project Vol. 9 “Reenactment of Being”

Koo Donghee employs unremarkable everyday incidents and fragments of her surrounding environment, including television, the internet, and urban life. By sampling and composing these materials and interposing absurd and uncanny occurrences, she disrupts our perception and illuminates the latent dissonance within the familiar. In this exhibition, she presents a moving image work that explores how our consciousness and senses are subordinated to a hyper-connected information society. The work calls into question the apparent stability of bodily habits and fixed norms shaped by everyday social life.

【 】ウン・ジェピル｜TOKAS Project Vol. 9「在ることの再演」

ウンの作品は、伝統と現代性、そして西洋中心主義社会によってしばしば定義される男性的・女性的な概念の境界を解体することで、言葉による説明を超越した感覚的な体験をもたらします。2020年よりウンは、京劇の名女形・梅蘭芳が考案した女形を表現する12 のポージングと53 の手の動きを収録した希少な記録集との出合いをきっかけに、京劇と女形の研究を行っています。本展では、ウンが梅蘭芳の踊りを自身の身体で体現するフィルム写真や銅版画作品によって、かつて存在した女形の身体性を現代に蘇えらせることを試みます。

【 】EUN Jae Pil | TOKAS Project Vol. 9 “Reenactment of Being”

By dismantling the boundaries between tradition and modernity, as well as masculinity and femininity—concepts often rigidly defined by Western-centric societies— Eun’s work offers a sensory experience that transcends simple explanation. Since 2020, when he encountered a rare volume documenting 12 poses and 53 hand movements devised by Mei Lanfang, the master of female roles in Peking opera, Eun has studied Peking opera and female-role performance. In this exhibition, Eun seeks to revive the figure of the historical female-role performer's physicality in the present through his body with film photography and copperplate prints embodying Mei Lanfangʼs dance.

【 】パク・ミンハ｜TOKAS Project Vol. 9「在ることの再演」

パク・ミンハは、実際の出来事や資料にもとづいた綿密なリサーチを下敷きに、SFとドキュメンタリーを融合し、映画や映像インスタレーション、出版物、音響作品など、多角的な実践をとおして、私たちの感覚世界を形作る枠組みを解読し、隠された物語を明らかにすることを探究しています。本展では、コンピューターやソフトウェアのプログラムに生じるバグやエラーを取り上げ、現代において人間の労働がAIやロボットに代替されていく現実を前に、デジタルに還元できない生命とは何か、人間性とは何かを問いかけます。

【 】 PARK Minha | TOKAS Project Vol. 9 “Reenactment of Being”

Grounding her work in extensive research into actual events and archival materials, Park Minha fuses science fiction with documentary in a multifaceted practice encompassing film, moving image installations, publications, and sound works. In this exhibition, Park focuses on bugs and errors that occur in computer and software programs, using them to question the nature of life and humanity in a reality where human labor is increasingly being replaced by AI and robots, and to explore what aspects of life cannot be reduced to digital information.

【 】キム・ドヒ｜TOKAS Project Vol. 9「在ることの再演」

2018年のTOKASレジデンシーでの滞在を機に、人間の生命の根源を象徴する「おへそ」に着目したキムは、人々のおへそを型取るプロジェクト「Navel Mountain」を継続的に行ってきました。本展では、それらのおへそを型取った石膏の彫刻作品に、近年制作しているおへそのモチーフを拡張した鐘の彫刻作品《Navel Strike》を展開し、無数の人々との関係から成る生のつながりを体感する場を創出します。

【 】 KIM Dohee | TOKAS Project Vol. 9 “Reenactment of Being”

Since 2018, Kim has focused on the navel as a symbol of the origins of human life. In her ongoing project “Navel Mountain,” she makes molds of peopleʼs navels. In this exhibition, she presents the series “Navel Mountain,” with “Navel Strike,” a sculpture in the form of a bell that extends the navel motif, and creates spaces where visitors can experience life as a web of connections among countless people.

【 】三野 新｜TOKAS Project Vol. 9「在ることの再演」

三野は韓国の龍山米軍基地や戦後の占領期に関する歴史のリサーチをもとに、戦争が現在の日常生活や身体に及ぼしている影響を考察し、新作戯曲「温室／온실」を書き下ろしました。本展では、その舞台となる温室を実際に展示空間に立ち上げ、「石」、「鉄」、「トラック」という三つのモノの会話によって紡がれる物語を、オブジェクト・シアターの手法によってインスタレーションとして「上演」します。日本と韓国の関係をめぐる歴史を客観的な事実としてではなく、現在の自分自身の現実として身体化していきます。

【 】 MINO Arata | TOKAS Project Vol. 9 “Reenactment of Being”

For this exhibition, Mino wrote the new play “Greenhouse/ Onsil,” drawing on historical research into the Yongsan US military base in Korea and the postwar occupation period, as well as his examination of how war continues to affect everyday life and the body in the present. He constructs the two rooms and the greenhouse in which the play is set within the exhibition space and stages the story as an installation using the methods of object theater, interweaving dialogue among three objects: a stone, an iron, and a truck. The work invites viewers to grasp the history of relations between Japan and Korea, not as a set of objective facts, but as a reality that bears directly on their own lives today.
