1995年のアマゾンおよびマヤへの旅で目撃した「うっそうとしたジャングルと原色の鳥たち」のスケッチや強烈な記憶を基に、生命感豊かに舞う鮮やかな金剛いんこを細密に描いた、堀文子画伯70代後半の力作です。
背景の深い青緑色と、いんこの赤・黄色のコントラストが非常に美しく、観る私たちを絵の中へと引き込む魅力的な画面構成となっています。旅での原体験から生み出された本作は、1995年、もしくはその旅を終えた1990年代後半に制作されたものです。
This is a work by the esteemed master painter Fumi Horike, depicting vibrant macaws dancing with a strong sense of life, inspired by the sketches and intense memories of the "dense jungle and primary-colored birds" she witnessed during her journey to the Amazon and Maya in 1995.
The striking contrast between the deep bluish-green background and the brilliant reds and yellows of the macaws is exceptionally beautiful, creating a sophisticated and refined atmosphere. Born from her profound firsthand experience, this piece was created in 1995 or the late 1990s following her expedition.
