Through my paintings, I aim to reflect the complexity of the human soul and mind. I try to convey the beauty and, at the same time, how difficult it is for people born with neurodivergence. The soul and the mind are closely linked. I say it's beautiful because there's no difference in the love one feels, only that an imperfection, even though perfection doesn't exist, makes it impossible or difficult to perceive love in all its depth, and that's when I say it's also difficult. If it's very difficult for a neurotypical person to express their love, it's even more so for someone who must live with neurodivergence.
Some time ago, I heard Vincent van Gogh say, "Art is to console those who are broken by life," and from that moment on, I decided I wanted to convey that feeling with my paintings.
In them, I use very strong, saturated, and sometimes garish tones. I avoid using muted colors because I want to show the powerful emotions of a neurodivergent person. My hope is that through my works, these people feel visible in a world that finds it difficult to perceive them.
