群馬在住のご夫婦のお宅に滞在中のお二人が、藍染めと手織りに挑戦してくださいました😊
Akira and Jessie joined us from USA🇺🇸
While staying with a couple who live in Gunma, they enjoyed trying their hand at indigo dyeing and hand weaving. 😊
藍染めでは、のれんとテーブルセンターを制作✨それぞれ個性あふれる素敵な作品が完成しました！
For the indigo dyeing experience, they created a noren—a traditional Japanese fabric curtain—and a table runner. ✨
Both pieces turned out beautifully, each reflecting their own unique style!
続いて、手織りのコースター作りにも挑戦🧵
ジェシーさんは赤系、アキラさんは茶色系のよこ糸を選び、オリジナルのコースターを仕上げました👏
Next, they tried making handwoven coasters. 🧵
Jessie chose red-toned weft yarn, while Akira selected brown-toned yarn, and they each completed an original coaster. 👏
日本の伝統的なものづくりを楽しんでいただけて、スタッフも嬉しいです💙
