[Starts Nov 5] Warmth of Urushi: Modern Lacquerware

来月11月5日(木)より、ミュージアムショップにて展示販売会「ぬくしうるし ～手のひらから伝わる漆のぬくもり～」が始まります。

漆の器と聞くと、特別な日のものというイメージがあるかもしれません。しかし本来、漆は使うほどに艶が増し、手にしっくりと馴染んでいく、日々の暮らしに寄り添う素材です。万が一傷んだり欠けたりしても、塗り直しや金継ぎでお手入れしながら、長く大切に使い続けることができます。

今回は「触れて・使って・育てる」をテーマに、若手作家たちが現代のライフスタイルに合わせて制作した、多彩な漆製品が並びます。毎日の食卓やリラックスタイムを豊かにしてくれる、あなただけのお気に入りを見つけてみませんか。

[Starts Nov 5] Warmth of Urushi: Modern Lacquerware

Starting next month on Thursday, November 5, the exhibition and sale "Warmth of Urushi: Modern Lacquerware" will begin at our museum shop.

You might think of lacquerware as something only for special occasions, but it is actually a perfect material for everyday life. The more you use it, the more it shines and comfortably fits in your hands. Even if it gets chipped or damaged, it can be repaired and used for a long time.

Under the theme of "Touch, Use, and Nurture," this exhibition features a variety of lacquerware created by young artists to suit modern lifestyles. Why not find a special piece that will enrich your daily dining and relaxing moments? Some items are also available on our online shop 🌿
