Inspired by kintsugi—the traditional Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer—Yamamoto explores themes of trauma, absence, and spiritual recovery. Rather than physically gluing pieces together, her works use light to fill the cracks and missing spaces of fragmented objects, natural items, and sculptural forms, transforming destruction into a new kind of presence Since the exhibition runs through tomorrow, September 6, this weekend is your final opportunity to view it.
