Kosuke Kawamura 河村康輔

Artist/Graphic Designer. Born in Hiroshima Prefecture in 1979.
As a collage artist, has participated in numerous collaborations with artists and solo and group exhibitions both in Japan and internationally. Notable works include creating the main visual for Katsuhiro Otomo’s first major original drawing exhibition “Katsuhiro Otomo GENGA Exhibition” (2012), presenting the collage work “AKIRA ART WALL PROJECT” using AKIRA (2019), and designing the Oasis 30th anniversary band logo (2024). Currently active in graphic work for apparel brands, jacket and book cover design, advertising design, and art direction. Appointed as Creative Director of UT in 2021.

アーティスト/グラフィックデザイナー。1979年広島県生まれ。
コラージュアーティストとしてアーティストとのコラボレーションや国内外での個展、グループ展に多数参加。
代表作に大友克洋氏の初の大規模原画展『大友克洋GENGA展』（2012）メインビジュアル制作やAKIRAを使用したコラージュ作品「AKIRA ART WALL PROJECT」の発表（2019）、Oasisデビュー30周年記念バンドロゴ（2024年）など。
現在もアパレルブランドへのグラフィックワーク、ジャケット、書籍の装丁、広告デザイン、アートディレクションで活躍している。2021年にUTのクリエイティブディレクターに就任。

DIESEL x FINAL FANTASY XIV “BRAVE”
KOSUKE KAWAMURA

An exhibition by artist Kosuke Kawamura, expressing the shared “BRAVE” spirit of DIESEL and FINAL FANTASY XIV through his distinctive art, will be held at DIESEL ART GALLERY in Shibuya, Tokyo, to celebrate the launch of the DIESEL x FINAL FANTASY XIV capsule collection, from October 2 (Friday) to November 8 (Sunday), 2026.

In this exhibition, Kosuke Kawamura reconstructs iconic archives from FINAL FANTASY XIV, re-editing them through the intersecting lenses of art, fashion, and gaming. Memories built together with players over many years are reimagined as contemporary collage works.

By layering fragmented visual imagery accumulated throughout the history of FINAL FANTASY XIV, the exhibition presents new artworks that transcend any single title or character.

In addition to showcasing and selling artworks, the exhibition will also feature Exhibition Limited Goods created exclusively for the event, including posters, acrylic keychains, and clear files, as well as collaboration T-shirts and hoodies from “DIESEL x FINAL FANTASY XIV x KOSUKE KAWAMURA.”

DIESEL ART GALLERYでは、 ディーゼルと 『ファイナルファンタジーXIV』 のコラボレーションによるカプセルコレクションの発売を記念して、両者に共通する“BRAVE（勇敢なるもの） ”という精神をテーマに、 アーティスト・河村康輔によるアート展を、2026年10月2日（金）から11月8日 （日） まで開催いたします。

本展では、 『ファイナルファンタジーXIV』 の象徴的なアーカイブを、河村康輔がアート、 ファッション、 ゲームの視点を横断しながら再構築します。長年プレイヤーと共に積み重ねられてきた記憶を、現代的なコラージュ表現として立ち上げます。
『ファイナルファンタジーXIV』 のこれまでの歩みの中で生まれたビジュアルイメージを断片的に重ね合わせることで、 特定のタイトルやキャラクターにとどまらない、新たなアートワークを提示します。

会場では作品の展示・販売に加え、本展のために制作されたポスターやアクリルキーチャーム、クリアファイルなどの展覧会限定グッズ、さらにDIESEL × FINAL FANTASY XIV × KOSUKE KAWAMURAによるコラボレーションTシャツとフーディーも販売いたします。

A Project Spanning Fashion, Gaming Culture, and Art Through the Shared Spirit of Courage to Express Individuality
Diesel Diesel, the international lifestyle brand, is launching a new collaboration project with FINAL FANTASY XIV FINAL FANTASY XIV, the globally acclaimed online RPG developed and operated by SQUARE ENIX Square Enix.

This collaboration project is driven by the shared spirit of “BRAVE”, a mindset embodied both by Diesel’s constant challenge to conventions and by the world of FINAL FANTASY XIV, where players step forward into adventure by their own will. To reach for what remains out of reach, and to let go of what holds us.
To fall, and to recognize that even the fall can be ours.

What we cannot reach, what we cannot hold, and what we lose along the way may become part of who we are.

Ricardo Luevanos captures these fleeting moments through simple words painted onto canvas, leaving what we feel and find in them open to each viewer.

手が届かないもの、つかめないもの、そしてその途中で失ってしまうもの。
そのすべてが、私たちを形づくる一部なのかもしれません。

To move forward, and to get lost.
The desire to keep moving, and the moments when we lose our way.
Though they may seem opposite, both are part of the journey.

Simple words painted onto canvas quietly evoke emotions and memories in each viewer.

前に進むこと、迷うこと。
進もうとする意思と、その途中で道を見失う瞬間。
相反するようでいて、どちらも歩み続ける中にあるものなのかもしれません。
