「 静かなるこの砂濱に舞ひ踊る 天女の姿 春の風吹く 」

Meaning: Miho no Matsubara is a place of breathtaking beauty where Mount Fuji can be seen across a
pine-covered coastline. Designated as one of Japan’s first Places of Scenic Beauty in 1922, it is also famous as the setting for the “Legend of Hagoromo,” which depicts the encounter between a celestial maiden and a local fisherman. When I visited Miho no Matsubara, a gentle spring breeze was blowing, and I felt a sense of happiness as if a celestial maiden had descended, inspiring me to compose this poem. Katsushika Hokusai also left behind paintings of Miho no Matsubara. The harmony of Mount Fuji, a symbol of Japan, and the celestial maiden creates a scene of simple beauty. When people see beautiful things, they feel happy.
Though Mount Fuji is not depicted in this work, I can still see it clearly in my mind. ( Poem by Calligrapher Kiyomi Ueno )
意味: 三保の松原は、海岸の松原越しに富士山を望む絶景の場所で、1922年に日本初の名勝に指定され、また、天女と地元の漁師の出会いを描いた「羽衣伝説」の場所としても有名です。数年前に、三保の松原に行った折、丁度爽やかな春風が吹き、天女が舞い降りてきたような幸せな気持ちになり、この歌を詠みました。葛飾北斎も三保の松原の絵を残しています。日本を代表する富士山と天女の組み合わせ、美し過ぎます。美しいものを見ると、人は幸せになると聞きます。この作品に富士山は書かれていませんが、私の中では、富士山が目に浮かびます。（自詠）
