ギャラリー・ディエゴ表参道

表参道ヒルズの裏手、マンションの一室にある『DiEGO表参道』。オリジナルプロダクトの「曲がるカラーキーパー」を展開すると共に、若手アーティストを中心にジャンルを問わず作品展示をしています。

「DiEGOカラーキーパー」「シールキーパー」は株式会社アピスコーポレーションが開発・製造・販売を行う製品です。
実店舗・DiEGO表参道では「襟を正す・襟で遊ぶ」をコンセプトに、オリジナルのカラーキーパーをはじめ、つけ襟やピンブローチなど「襟」にまつわるジュエリー、バイヤーが「オモシロい！」と思った大人のための雑貨を展開します。
また、若手アーティストを中心に作品展示を不定期で開催しております。こちらも、個人的に「オモシロそう、何かありそう」と思った方の作品を展示しているので、一般的なギャラリーとは少し違うかもしれません。

極限まで単純化された人型は、どこかお地蔵様や道祖神を思わせます。あしらわれた小石のような装飾。
祈りをささげて誰かが置いたのか、あるいはそこに石があったから置いたのか。
そんな、人の本能的な衝動を思わせつつも、見つめていると不思議と呼吸が静かにととのっていきます。
北林加奈子の作品には、そんな根源的な安らぎが宿っています。

“Archetypal Prayers: Forms that Calm the Breath”

These humanoid figures, simplified to their very essence, evoke the presence of Jizo or Dosojin—Japan’s ancient roadside deities.

The pebble-like accents stir a primeval human instinct: the urge to leave a stone as an offering, or perhaps simply because it was there. While the work sparks the imagination, it simultaneously guides one's breath into a tranquil, steady rhythm.

In the hands of Kanako Kitabayashi, the clay becomes a vessel for a fundamental peace.

モルタルの床となじむようで、ささやかな違和感があります。
周辺の空気をくすぐるような、小さな風がさざ波をたてるような。祭具のようでもあり、どこか命を宿した生き物のようでもある不思議な存在感。
そんな多面的な魅力がある北林加奈子の作品です。

“A gentle dissonance that tickles the air.”
“Une présence silencieuse.”

While it seems to merge seamlessly with the mortar floor, a subtle, quiet dissonance lingers. It feels as if the piece is gently tickling the surrounding air, or like a faint breeze creating tiny ripples in the stillness.

Is it a ritual object from an unknown era, or a mysterious living creature? This captivating presence, existing somewhere between the sacred and the organic, is the essence of Kanako Kitabayashi’s work.

少し歪んだ有機的な正方形。その佇まいは、どこか墓標を思わせます。

北林加奈子の作品には、常に、目に見えない何かに寄り添うような、慈しみのある気配が漂っています。
かつて骨壺を制作していただいた時もそうでした。（2019年「 urn:骨壺」開催）
彼女が形にするのは、死そのものではなく、遠くへ逝ってしまったものや、失われた記憶をそっと包み込み、安らげる場所なのかもしれません。

手のひらに乗せるとずしりと感じる重量感。それは、目に見えない想いがそこに満ちる証のようでもあります。

庭先の草花の傍らに。あるいは、本棚の片隅に。この小さな標（しるべ）は、日常に、静かな鎮魂と穏やかな充足感をもたらしてくれることと思います🌿

A Sanctuary for the Unseen

A slightly distorted square, standing with the quiet dignity of a sacred marker.

There is a sense of "requiem" in Kanako Kitabayashi’s work—a gentle presence that stays close to what is lost or invisible. Having collaborated with her on an exhibition of urns in the past, I feel that her creations are not about death, but about providing a peaceful vessel for memories and souls.

Despite its small size, it carries a profound weight in the palm of your hand, as if it is filled with silent emotions.

Whether placed in a quiet corner of a garden or on a cherished bookshelf, this piece acts as a humble monument, bringing a sense of "fullness" and solace to your everyday life.

もとは別々に生まれた二つの形。並べてみると、お雛様のような佇まいを見せました🎎

ほぼ同じ背丈、同じ質感ですが、異なるフォルムが、静かな対話を交わしているようです。
お雛様は、昔から日本で愛されてきた幸せと安らぎを守る対の象徴。意図せず生まれたこの出会いは、この場所でしか味わえないひとつのfullnessの形かもしれません。

A Serendipitous Dialogue

Separately created, yet destined to meet. When placed together in the gallery, these two figures naturally began to breathe as a pair—evoking the spirit of "Ohinasama," the traditional Japanese symbolic figures of protection and companionship.

With near-identical height and texture, the subtle differences in their forms create a quiet, rhythmic dialogue.

This accidental pairing reminds us that "fullness" can emerge from the simplest connections. A fleeting, sacred encounter between two forms, now standing as guardians of the space.

思わず抱きかかえたくなるような、やわらかな膨らみ。

北林加奈子の新作は、真四角ではない有機的なフォルムにどこか生命の体温を感じさせます。
北林の表現の核にあるのは、「皮膚感覚」です。
この作品の表面を見ていると、単なる陶の肌ではなく、呼吸する細胞の層のように見えてきます。
刻まれたラインは、生きる痕跡（傷跡とも…）のようでもあり、守るべき境界線のようでもあり…
私たちの内側にある皮膚感覚も、静かに呼び覚まされていくような作品です。

A form that yearns to be held. These organic, swelling shapes evoke the warmth of a living breath, transcending the stillness of ceramic.

At the heart of Kitabayashi’s work lies a profound exploration of "skin sensation." The surface of this piece feels like a layer of living cells—vulnerable, yet resilient.

The lines marked upon its surface appear as scars or traces of life, drawing us closer, inviting us to embrace not just the object, but the
primordial memory of touch itself.

／足し算を止め、声を聴く。＼

北林加奈子の新作は、異素材との対話を一時停止し土と向き合うことから始まった。
「外から加えるのではなく、内にあるものに耳を澄ませる」。作家の言葉通り、本展にはこれまでの彼女の作品を彩ってきた華やかな異素材は存在しない。

しかし、その剥き出しのフォルムに施された小さな土の粒や指跡には、技巧を超えた土を触る喜びが宿っているように思う。それは洗練された美学の先にある、表現者としての原初の叫びかもしれない。
空っぽの空洞が静かに密度を増していく感覚。

本展は焼き物だけで構成された作品による個展です。外から加えるのではなく、内にあるものに耳を澄ませること。空洞を抱えながら立ち上がるかたちの中に、静かに満ちていく感覚を探ります。
北林加奈子

これまで、陶に異素材を組み合わせることで独自の世界を構築してきた北林加奈子。今回、彼女はあえてその装飾を脱ぎ捨て、単一の素材「土」と向き合いました。

そこに残されたのは、指先が土に触れた瞬間の、あるいは人類が初めて形を生み出した時のような原初的な衝動の跡。
模様を刻む、土を丸める。それらは装飾というよりも、空洞を抱えた形の中に命の気配を灯すための、ささやかな、でも、切実な儀式のように見えます。

外側を飾るのではなく、内側から満ちてくるものに耳を澄ませること。削ぎ落とされた静寂の中に立ち上がる確かなfullnessの形を、ぜひ高覧ください😌

外川ひろみ・外川貴金属二人展「まとう」は、3/28を持ちまして無事終了いたしました。
お運びくださいました皆さま、SNSでお楽しみくださいました皆さま。皆さまありがとうございました🙇

共鳴し合う美意識。その静かな熱量に触れた日々でした。一方で、次への課題も見えた展示となりました。
うつわは、ジュエリーは、ただそこに在るだけでいいのか。あるいは、何をまとうべきなのか。

外川ひろみが描く磁器の線、唯一無二のやさしい手触り。外川貴金属が刻む、精緻な情景。
それらは単なる道具や装飾ではなく、手にした方の日常に「新しい思索」を運ぶものでもあります。

外川ひろみの磁器、外川貴金属のジュエリーをより深く、より遠くへ。今回改めて抱いた課題を胸に、DiEGOはこれからも、作家とともに技術の先にある何かを届ける場所であり続けたいと思います🕊️

Our duo exhibition "MATOU" has come to a successful close. We are deeply moved by the many encounters that took place within these walls.

A special highlight was welcoming a guest who first discovered Hiromi Togawa’s work at a cafe in Naoshima and visited us at DiEGO to find a new piece. It is a profound joy to see her porcelain—defined by its serene curves and tactile surfaces—resonating so deeply with international art lovers.

We truly believe that the meticulous artistry and underlying philosophy of Togawa Kikinzoku’s jewelry, including the tiny, exquisite birds, will continue to fly across borders, touching hearts wherever they go.

To everyone who visited, touched, and "adorned" themselves with these works: Thank you for being part of this journey. We look forward to sharing the next chapter of Japanese artists with you soon. ☕🍶
