[Exhibition Announcement] Akihiro Hasegawa Presents “What Matter Says”
√K Contemporary is pleased to present What Matter Says, a group exhibition curated by artist Akihiro Hasegawa, opening Saturday, October 24, 2026.
Bringing together six artists working with different materials such as glass, mirrors, fabric, and metal, the exhibition explores how materials shape the works and the space they inhabit.
“Materials are not merely passive elements that follow the artist’s intentions. They can break, bend light, and obey gravity, sometimes defying the artist’s will and giving rise to unexpected forms of expression and meaning.” — Akihiro Hasegawa
Rather than considering the space from the perspective of the human viewer, what might it mean to see it from the perspective of the objects within it? What does each material have to say?
We invite you to discover the answers in the exhibition.
