강릉자수박물관은 강릉 오죽헌에 위치하며, 자수에 새겨진 옛 여인들의 아름답고 소중한 마음결을 느낄 수 있는 자수 전문 박물관입니다. ✨✂️
박물관은 소장품을 중심으로 동양자수의 조사 연구, 상설 및 특별 전시, 보존 및 전승 발전, 교육프로그램 운영, 자수 콘텐츠를 활용한 문화상품 개발 등을 수행하고 있으며, 특히, 한국, 중국, 일본 전통 자수를 중심으로 동양자수의 미적 세계를 체험하고 공유하고 있습니다.🎎
한국, 중국, 일본 전통 자수 500여 점이 상설 전시관에 전시되고 있으며, 이와 더불어 특별 전시실에는 색동 조각보와 서양자수 100여 점이 전시되고 있습니다.
Gangneung Embroidery Museum is located within the Ojukheon area in Gangneung and is a specialized museum dedicated to embroidery, where visitors can experience the beautiful and precious sentiments of women from the past as expressed through their needlework. ✨✂️
The museum conducts a wide range of activities centered on its collection, including research on East Asian embroidery, permanent and special exhibitions, conservation and transmission of embroidery traditions, educational programs, and the development of cultural products utilizing embroidery-related content. In particular, the museum provides opportunities to experience and share the aesthetic world of East Asian embroidery, with a focus on the traditional embroidery of Korea, China, and Japan. 🎎
More than 500 pieces of traditional embroidery from Korea, China, and Japan are displayed in the permanent exhibition galleries. In addition, over 100 works, including saekdong jogakbo (traditional Korean patchwork wrapping cloths) and Western embroidery, are exhibited in the special exhibition gallery.
