„ΞΣotion“ brings together two distinct yet complementary artistic voices💫
Rafael Springer defies classical categories, blending traditional craftsmanship with avant-garde techniques. His bold monoprints from the ‘Endlos’ and ‘Dreams’ series are masterfully hand-printed from inked plastic bags and woodcuts on everyday collages, leaving beautiful room for chance, simple forms, and raw human emotion.
Kristina Mygul, a proudly recognized Ukrainian multidisciplinary artist with a background in choreography, creates a space of “quiet presence.” Her works are a touching reminder of sensitivity as an essential part of the human experience, capturing the strength it takes to remain sensitive, even when it hurts.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for the «Meet the Artists» evening on April 29th🙌🏻
It was a wonderful experience hosting such a vibrant gathering at Hôpital Kirchberg to celebrate the unbridled spirit and energy of «The Year of Crazy?;) Horse». The evening offered a unique opportunity for guests to engage directly with Oxana Berezhna and Silvia Karamfilova, gaining personal insight into their painting collections that feature such unimaginable and extravagant horses. Our curator, Oksana Polyanska, led a guided tour that explored how these two female artists use vibrant, expressive brushwork to capture the untamed spirit and equestrian grace that defines this series🐴🐎
If you were unable to attend the event, the exhibition remains open to the public through 31 May 2026 on the first floor of Hôpital Robert Schuman in Kirchberg, Luxembourg. We invite you to stop by and experience this artistic tribute to modern intensity and unbridled passion for yourself❤️

Meet the Artist: Alena Gastaldi🌟

Alena Gastaldi is a classically trained figurative and plein air painter based in Luxembourg. Academic painting, drawing, and sculpture formed an integral part of her six-year architecture studies in her hometown of Kostroma, Russia, which she continued to develop after graduation. She later spent a year studying with the internationally renowned watercolourist Thomas M. Schaller and is currently a regular student at Studio Escalier in France, a private school known for its rigorous academic curriculum, where she has studied under Nicole Michelle Tully and Tobias M. Hall, accomplished American painters.
Her work captures the character of contemporary life through direct observation, preserving fleeting moments and cultural narratives with a strong foundation in traditional technique.
The majority of the works in this exhibition are created en plein air – painted outdoors, in a tradition that has been central to artistic practice for generations or developed from smaller observational studies. Painted directly from life, these works translate the complexity of a three-dimensional world onto a two-dimensional surface, balancing colour, structure, and atmosphere. This process unfolds in the midst of everyday activity, where movement, sound, and distraction become part of the act of observation.
She regularly participates in plein air competitions in Ireland, where her work has been regularly recognised by juries and colleagues. Alena’s work is held in private collections worldwide, from Australia, China and Singapore to Europe and the United States.

As part of this beautiful initiative, our team provided free, one-on-one professional consultations to Ukrainian refugee seekers with a background in arts.
Navigating a new country and a new job market is incredibly challenging, and our goal was to offer advice, support and strategic guidance to help these talents with their professional journey💙💛
We are looking forward to participating in further projects🙌🏻
