« INTERACTIVE PARTICLES » — now on view at Spektrum

Interactive Particles explores the intersection of art, design and digital technologies through interactive audiovisual works, virtual reality experiences and immersive installations where art and technology intertwine.

Driven by new narrative forms and an algorithmic aesthetic, these works reinvent physical space and offer poetic shifts in perspective. At the heart of the exhibition is a narrative exploration of human behavior under extreme conditions, shedding light on the mechanisms that shape our thoughts, emotions, and actions.

Visitors are invited to become active participants and co-creators, moving between intuition, reality and virtuality while questioning identity and the construction of possible worlds.

Featuring works by:
Tatiana Lopes · Bodo Korsig · François Schwamborn · Gwenael François · Menny Olinger · Ommery De Zutter · Albert Hames

↘ 3 May – 14 November 2026

Tatiana Lopes explores the intersection of art, design and digital technologies through interactive audiovisual installations that react to human presence and movement.

For “Interactive Particles”, the Luxembourg-based multimedia artist presents “Becoming” — an evolving environment where colours, generative forms and soundscapes continuously transform through gestures, voices and interactions between visitors.

Activated by movement sensors, the installation responds in real time to the people inhabiting the space, turning the audience into active participants and co-creators of a constantly shifting landscape.

“Becoming” is currently on view as part of the exhibition “Interactive Particles” at Spektrum, alongside immersive installations, virtual reality experiences and interactive audiovisual works by international artists exploring the relationship between art, technology and human behaviour.

On view until 14 November 2026
Wednesday – Saturday | 10:00–17:00
Visits by appointment: [email protected]

A look back at the opening weekend of the exhibition INTERACTIVE PARTICLES

Featuring works by Tatiana Lopes, Menny Olinger, Gwenael François, François Schwamborn, Ommery De Zutter, Bodo Korsig and Albert Hames.

During the opening night, Spektrum welcomed visitors, artists and collaborators for an evening dedicated to digital art, immersive installations and interactive experiences. The support of Mayor Henri Haine and the local administration for cultural initiatives in Rumelange was also acknowledged during the evening.

One part of the program was the presentation of the new interactive walking trail through Rumelange, where Albert Hames appears as a digital avatar guiding visitors through his murals and monuments across the city. The project was presented by Misch Strotz ( neoninternet.com) together with Gil Galvao (Tijo)

On 24 April 2026, as part of the Joyous Entry in Esch-sur-Alzette, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie visited Spektrum’s two stands at Belval.

Welcomed by Carole Marx and Guy Wolff, the Grand Ducal Couple discovered Spektrum’s teams, artists, and featured projects.

In the cultural space, the Grand Duchess explored Oto’s Planet and enjoyed an interactive virtual reality experience, presented by director Gwen François, producer Julien Becker, and Sarah Bamberg from the Luxembourg Film Fund.

At the science and technology stand, Guy Wolff, Director of Spektrum, welcomed Grand Duke Guillaume, Minister Gilles Roth, Chamber President Claude Wiseler, and Mayor Christian Weis. Artists Ommery de Zutter and Menny Olinger showcased their digital artworks in virtual reality, along with their 3D-printed creations.

Earlier this month, we welcomed participants to Joan Dondelinger’s workshop at Spektrum.

Together, they built small interactive devices and experimented with light, patterns and movement. From simple inputs to playful visuals, it was all about trying things out and understanding how ideas can take shape through technology.

Thanks to everyone who joined and brought their curiosity and focus to the table.

We recently welcomed Katarina Ivesic and the students from the Info & Smart Technologies classes of Lycée Guillaume Kroll (Esch-sur-Alzette).

The group discovered different works on site, including Oto’s Planet, Bodo Korsig’s interactive Marc Aurel, as well as VR-based visuals by Ommery De Zutter presented as part of the exhibition Fragments of Future. The visit also included an artist talk with Tatiana Lopes (Creative Technologist & Designer), offering insights into her work with TouchDesigner and creative technologies.

A few impressions from the finissage of « Fragments of Future ».

Gwenael François’ talk on Oto’s Planet was a highlight of the evening, giving insight into the ideas and process behind the film and what goes into creating such an immersive world.

Afterwards, the space filled with conversations, encounters and one last walk through the exhibition together with the artists.

Thanks to everyone who came by and shared this moment with us.
