Photographer at large Jeff Scovil photographed this quartz specimen for Richard Jackson at the Denver Show this month. We posted recently that students at Carnegie Melon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania confirmed that hematite inclusions impart the orange color to this distinctive quartz.
