"Traces" | Dionne Swift

Exhibition Opening on the 18th of October 2026 from 6pm - 7pm at The Gallery.

Dionne Swift is a renowned textile artist who has exhibited and taught internationally for over 30 years. Her work stems from observational drawing, without it there is no direction. It's also an invitation - a call to explore the boundaries between mediums, where pencil lines can transform into stitched threads.

Learn the beautiful art of uncial script with expert calligrapher, Helen. During this 6 week course, you’ll learn one of the oldest lettering styles, dating back to the 4th century. 🖋️

The course starts on the 14th of October.

We're off on our jollies! The gallery (and Hev's workshop) will be closed from the 10th to the 18th of August so that Hev and Pierre can bod off to Italy and stare at the mountains 😁

We'll be back on the 19th of August with renewed energies and full of creativity 😍

We start at 6pm but drop by as you please. No pressure, just making. Remember to bring water and/or w**e 🫶🏼 and maybe crisps 🤪

Meet, Make and Collaborate!

Bring whatever you're working on to meet people, make friends and art. We'll be sketching, stitching, seeking inspo and sharing knowledge for a few hours on the 11th of June at 7:30 pm in Valletta.

It's free to join, and we ask for a small donation to cover refreshments. You can also grab a glass of vino from Trabuxu ;)
