3 dreamers, Nova, Dana, and KT, independently packed up their former lives and moved to Nayarit, Mexico. Combined, these creatives have 15 years in the Bay of Banderas and have made this magical place their permanent home. Soñé opened in October 2015 and brings a new energy that is palpable throughout the expanding Bucerias Arts District. Orisia Nova dreamer of Orisia Nova Fine Art abstract artist
hails from New Orleans, Louisiana, USA where she began her creative journey. Raised among artisans and musicians, free artistic expression has always been forefront in her life. Her dream fully took flight once moving to Nayarit, where the myth and magic of the culture provide endless fuel for her imagination. Her creative use of color and texture is directly sourced by her 2 year old daughter, the sea, sky, and jungle shores of her new home. Dana dreamer of Natural Design Concepts creates stunning handmade furniture and accessories from exotic hardwoods, that she then inlays with gemstones, glass and shell. Her dream began over 10 years ago, but truly came to life when she made the move to Puerto Vallarta from Ottowa, Ontario, Canada and found inspiration in the exotic woods of Mexico. She focuses on sourcing her wood responsibly, purchasing ancient felled trees to give them new life through her craft. KT, dreamer of Bastet relocated to Mexico almost six years ago with her dog and boyfriend, selling off everything they owned and packing the rest in their car to begin what would be a life changing adventure. She has spent her time in Mexico traveling, learning from its people, and gaining inspiration. Starting Bastet seemed like a natural progression, applying that unique vibrancy of Mexico to jewelry techniques she has been practicing since she was a child has created a modern line of handcrafted pieces.
