Kinda like the first day back to school
You make the first day back in studio fun and easy. Not too daunting. I foresee painting more of these room interiors in the near future.

Nancy hosts week long getaway workshops in Bucerias. This is a wonderful tool to use next time you are painting.

Is there a secret to mixing pink?
Pink...can be such a tricky colour.....Each red produces brighter, duller, warmer or cooler pinks depending on how they are used.

For example, "hot" pinks are best achieved by using glazing techniques with translucent, bluish reds like Quinacridone Red or Magenta lightened with translucent Zinc White over a white background. Duller, peachy pinks can be achieved by adding Titanium White to warmer, orange-shade reds like Naphthol Light Red. Cadmium Reds produce earthier, desaturated pinks when lightened with white, or diluted in a glaze over a white background. Cadmium Medium Red produces a pink that is orangier, and Cadmium Dark Red produces a pink that is slightly bluer.
So get your paints and a palette knife out and start playing.....

Flowers I painted in before returning back to Canada.

We were so busy last season that to have any free time to sneak in some painting was rare. This year, Michael and I will have 2 full days a week for ourselves. Looking forward to painting, beach and sun.

I honestly thought these guys had used a special effect. I had reached out to a former hip hop teacher to ask, 'are these guys real?!
( In my late 30's I took hip hop classes in Toronto. Yep, I was terrible but that didn't matter. )

They are so good. Dedicated to their art. Love watching their daily uploads.
