Each time you buy piece of jewelry from the Co-op, 80% of your money goes directly to the woman who made it, and the rest is put towards purchasing materials. The Co-op also offers beading classes by request for a reasonable price. El Taller de Mujeres es una parada imperdible para quien pase por Isla Mujeres. Escondida del distrito turistico, vale la pena tomar el recorrido de 5 minutos. Preparate para sumergirte en el mundo de las chaquiras de estas talentosas mujeres. Ve como se produce el trabajo mientras admiras las innumerables pulseras, aretes, collares y mas. Cada vez que compras una pieza de joyeria, 80% va directamente a la mujer que la hizo, y el 20% restante hacia la compra de materiales. La cooperativa tambien ofrece clases por pedido a un precio rasonable.

The Isla Mujeres Women's Beading Co-op not only makes beautiful jewelry but we are a social support for each other in times of celebration and in times of sadness. We are women who are present for each other. And though not often enough, we some times party!

La cooperativa de mujeres artesanas de Isla Mujeres no solo crea hermosas joyas, sino que también nos brindamos apoyo mutuo tanto en los buenos como en los malos momentos. Somos mujeres que nos apoyamos entre nosotras. Y aunque no tan a menudo como nos gustaría, ¡a veces también nos divertimos!
