Galería COVARRUBIAS promueve arte contemporáneo desde líneas expresivas como pintura, fotografía, gráfica artística, dibujo, objeto, representando a artistas de diversas partes del mundo. Comprende lo contemporáneo en tanto una sensibilidad del artista que emplea herramientas del presente como productor simbólico, intelectual y sensorial desde posiciones e intereses conceptuales sin dar la espalda a otros procesos provenientes de la tradición del arte. Jerarquiza obras que no persiguen el efectismo, el folclorismo o lo considerado “exótico”. Por el contrario, respeta las circunstancias y fuentes culturales de cada creador, dando entrada a los valores universales de sus poéticas personales y artísticas.
COVARRUBIAS Gallery promotes contemporary art from expressive ways as painting, photographs, artistic graphic, drawing, object, representing artists from diverse parts of the world. It conceives the contemporary as a sensibility of the artist that uses tools of the current times as symbolic, intellectual and sensorial producer, from positions and conceptual interests without giving the back to other processes that comes from the tradition of art. The space promotes works that don't pursue the effectism, the folklorism or the considered “exotic”. By the contrary, it respects the circumstances and cultural sources of each visual creator, giving entrance to the universal values of their personal and artistic poetics.
