As a gallery, Bicefalo is an experimental platform dedicated to the exhibition of “single-protagonist” artworks resulting from a collaborative process between two exponents. Our goal is to function as a coalition space open to artists, designers, theorists, philosophers, scientists and any other professional, so that they may come together to produce a dialogue through artistic production. Further

more, we are interested in the concept of the “Gesamtkunstwerk” or “total work of art” as used by the Bauhaus school of thought, which attempts to encapsulate or exploit a set of aesthetic and conceptual concerns within the entirety of a given platform through a single and comprehensive art expression. Our aim is to provide an exhibition space, not as sterile white cube within a controlled vacuum, but as an allotment of neutral space to be re-negotiated by the artist, artwork, and participant.
