Pristine Galerie opened the doors to its actual headquarters in Monterrey, Mexico with a clear and defined mission: to promote the artistic creation of first-rate contemporary visual producers, both emerging and established. The gallery has worked from its beginning to function as the catalyst and vehicle of an interaction between Monterrey and the most important institutional and commercial platf
orms of contemporary art in America, Europe and Asia. To this day, a unique selection of artists has been formed, from diverse fields, including sound art, video, painting, graphic arts, photography, performance, installation and sculpture, some of whom have participated in the best biennials and contemporary art fairs in the world, and/or form part of major private and public collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art, in New York City. In a 6500 ft2 four stage building, the gallery blends elements of avant-garde design and contemporary artworks by its many artists, constantly rotating them as the temporary exhibitions change in two of its floors, where it usually showcases two exhibitions simultaneously, generating an unusual dialogue between the artworks of the artists being shown, national and international, for which the Gallery’s Board has chosen to work with featured curators, who put together for Pristine Galerie world-class art exhibitions. Besides making a social occurrence of all our exhibition openings, we frequently organize seminars and talks with the gallery’s artists, providing the opportunity for a real conversation and greater level of intimacy between collectors, artists, curators, critics and art enthusiasts, thus encouraging the observation, updating, and discourse in the creative community, as an artistic center that offers a meeting space, for investigation, artistic formation and the development of projects towards an impulse of the visual arts. The gallery also offers consultation services to collectors, architects and designers, in the selection, conservation and exhibition of artworks, according to their needs, individuality and objectives. Pristine Galerie abre las puertas de su sede actual en Monterrey, México, con una misión clara y definida: promover la creación artística de productores visuales contemporáneos de primera línea, consolidados y emergentes. La galería ha trabajado activamente desde sus inicios por el objetivo de servir como catalizador y vehículo de una interacción desde Monterrey hacia las más importantes plataformas del arte contemporáneo, institucionales y comerciales, en América, Europa y Asia. Al día de hoy, ha logrado formar una selección única de artistas, en diversas disciplinas, incluyendo arte sonoro, video, pintura, dibujo, grabado, fotografía, performance, instalación y escultura, que han participado en las mas importantes bienales y ferias de arte contemporáneo a nivel internacional, algunos de los cuales forman parte de importantes colecciones privadas y de museos de arte contemporáneo alrededor del mundo. En un edificio de 600m2 en 4 pisos, la galería mezcla en sus instalaciones elementos de diseño vanguardista y obras de arte contemporáneo de sus muchos artistas, en constante movimiento conforme a las exposiciones en curso en dos de sus pisos, en los que usualmente combina simultáneamente dos exposiciones, generando un diálogo inusual entre las obras de los artistas nacionales e internacionales en exhibición, para cuyo desarrollo el Consejo de la galería ha optado por trabajar con curadores invitados, quienes se encargan de preparar para Pristine Galerie exposiciones de primer nivel. Aparte de hacer todo un evento social de nuestras inauguraciones, usualmente organizamos seminarios y pláticas con artistas, las cuales proveen la oportunidad de crear un diálogo real y un mayor nivel de intimidad entre coleccionistas, artistas, curadores, críticos, y entusiastas del arte, buscando estimular la observación, actualización y el discurso en la comunidad artística, además de crear un centro artístico en la comunidad que brinde un espacio de encuentro, investigación y formación, así como el desarrollo de proyectos para el impulso de las artes visuales. La galería también ofrece servicios de asesoría a coleccionistas, arquitectos y diseñadores, en la selección, preservación y montaje de obras de arte, de acuerdo a las necesidades y posibilidades particulares de sus clientes.
