Dear friends,
The Malecón Sculpture Tour has concluded, and we want to thank everyone who supports this tour, making it possible every Tuesday and perpetuating this wonderful activity for our local library, Biblioteca Los Mangos. We extend our gratitude to Memo Lira of Vallarta 101 Tours, who helped guide the group through the Malecón sculptures; to Kevin Simpson of the Colectika and Pe**te People galleries for his valuable contribution of information about the symbols found in the Malecón's cobblestones; and to Ana Sofía Toledo and Rafael Camacho, the library's representative and former director, respectively, who joined us every Tuesday representing the institution the tour supports. They provided participants with information about the library's vital work for the community, as it not only provides books but also offers art workshops for children, English and Spanish classes, contemporary dance, reading workshops, and more. This institution receives no government funding and is sustained through auctions, private contributions, and donations. The Free Sculpture Tour contributes to these efforts through voluntary donations from participants—a vital pillar of this institution. To all of them, Thank you so much! See you next season.
