Singer songwriter, Sheldon Cohen and I went to a new little hipster restaurant in the Centro, called, "Taco Mai". Loved the scene and we had very succulent arrachera tacos with guacamole and chicharron.

Painting scars and wounds are painful to do. I have to look at reference materials of other people's self harming and accidents to understand how to paint them.

Ayer fuimos testigos aquí en México de la tortura y muerte del primer guerrero de la justicia social de la religión, un hombre soltero y profeta, Jesús, que se adentró en las trincheras del lado oscuro de la sociedad para trabajar con los leprosos, curar a los enfermos, defender a los pobres y a las prostitutas, y desafiar la corrupción. Su arquetipo nos mostró a un hombre que murió por los pecados de otros. En 2019, creé este arquetipo masculino llamado "El Inquebrantable" de 28"x48" x2" Aceite sobre Madera de la serie "¡CRUSH!" Este arquetipo sigue en pie a pesar de su tortura.

Yesterday we witnessed here in Mexico, the torture and death of religion's first social justice warrior, an unmarried man and prophet, Jesus, who went into the trenches of society's underbelly to work with the lepers, to heal the sick, defend the poor and prostitutes, and to challenge corruption. His archetype showed us a man that died for the sins of others. In 2019, I created this masculine archetype called, "The Unbroken" 28"x48" x2" Oil over Wood from the series "CRUSH!" This archetype is still standing despite his torture.

Esta obra representó la muerte de un yo que ya no me sirve y completó un ciclo para mí.
