Notice: Chinese New Year Opening Hours

We are delighted to announce that the museum will remain open on Chinese New Year 2025 (29th, 30th and 31st January ) to celebrate this special occasion with our community.

Opening Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Museum Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in culture, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage visitors with the rich history of Dr Sun Yat Sen in Penang as well as the heritage of a house museum. Responsibilities include leading tours, answering visitor inquiries, and assisting with museum events. Fluency in Mandarin and additional languages is a plus.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the lecturers and students from Research Institute of Global Chinese and Area Studies (RIGCAS), Huaqiao University, Fujian Province, China, for visiting and engaging in arigcas fruitful exchange at the Sun Yat Sen Museum Penang on Sunday (22/09/2024). The Sun Yat Sen Museum Penang is proud to showcase the small part that the Penang supporters played in Dr Sun Yat Sen's revolutionary struggle. Dr Sun led the movement that pioneered the birth of modern China in 1911. Many Asian nationalists were inspired by Dr Sun to struggle for Independence and self-determination in their own countries.
