This is Karwai’s latest piece of artwork for her cupid series “Cupid Rhapsody: Way Back Into Love.” The piece showcases three novice cupids engaged in a case study inspired by “The Triumph of Galatea,” an artwork depicting the love story between the sea nymph Galatea and the Cyclops Polyphemus. The cupid figures in “The Triumph of Galatea” are portrayed as the ancestors of these novice cupids, who are depicted learning the art of cupidry through the timeless narrative of love presented in the artwork.

As the new cupids delve into the details of their ancestors’ stories, they find inspiration and guidance, paving their way into the intricate realm of love.
